Vaccinations
Per North Carolina State Law, We Cannot Accept Your Pet For Boarding If We Do Not Have Up-To-Date Vaccination Records! Even if your pet has had the vaccinations, if we do not have the records, we cannot accept them into our facility. To ensure a smooth check-in, it helps to make sure we have the vaccination records well before the date of your check-in.
All dog campers must have current rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella vaccinations. All cat campers must have current FVRCP and rabies.
Vaccinations should be given at least 5-7 days prior to visiting us for boarding or daycare. In particular, if you get a Bordetella intranasal vaccination we cannot allow your dog into our facility for at least 24 hours.
Proof of your pet’s vaccination will be kept on file. We prefer vaccination records be faxed or emailed in advance of your arrival to help simplify and speed up your check in.
We also require your pet be free of fleas, ticks, heartworm and worms.
Only need your Bordetella vaccine? We can sell you an intranasal vaccine that protects against Bordetella and Parainfluenza, but per NC State Law you must administer this to your pet. Don't worry - we'll be happy to help, we just can't administer it for you. This must be done at least 2 weeks prior to your visit. Please call for rates.
Cancellations
We do understand that things happen, but please remember we are holding your reservation exclusively for your pet. When we reach our capacity, we have to refuse reservation requests and turn business away. We are a small facility, and cancellations affect us greatly. When clients pick-up their dogs early, cancel reservations, or change reservations without adequate notice, it is typically too late for us to fill the space we had reserved for them because the boarders that we turned away have already made other arrangements. This results in a significant financial impact to our small business. Due to the loss of revenue as a result of no-shows, untimely cancellations, schedule changes, and early pick-ups, we have implemented the following cancellation policy.
UPDATED 11FEB23:
ALL RESERVATIONS MUST BE SECURED BY A VALID CREDIT CARD. All reservations are subject to our 5-day cancellation policy, unless they were made within 5 days of scheduled check-in.
Cancellations may be made without charge if the cancellation is made at least five (5) days in advance of the scheduled check-in date. If the cancellation is made less than five (5) days in advance of the scheduled check-in date, charges will be capped as a two-night stay for a single camper, regardless of the details of the original reservation.
Changes
Changes to reservations may be made if the changes are requested at least five (5) days in advance of the scheduled check-in date and time. Reservation changes include check-in date, check-in time, check-out date, or check-out time. Charges for changes made less than five (days) before scheduled check-in dates and times will be will be capped as a two-night stay for a single camper, regardless of the details of the original reservation.
Early Check-Out
With advanced notice, we are happy to accommodate an early check-out. However, if you do choose to pick your pet up prior to the departure date confirmed with your registration, our cancellation/change policy will apply and you will be charged the full amount of the original reservation. If you do wish to pick your pet up early, please call or e-mail us as soon as you're able to so we can ensure we're aware of the change and can make arrangements to have your pet ready when you arrive.
Veterinary Care
Each time you check-in, we will confirm how we may reach you directly (or reach a designated emergency contact(s), authorized to make decisions on your behalf while you are away) in the event of an emergency.
You will also be required to sign a Companion Camp Contract that allows us to seek emergency care for your pet if you and your emergency contact(s) are unreachable, should a situation should occur.
If a problem arises, we will always try to reach you or your emergency contact before taking any action. During normal business hours, we will take your pet to Tri-County Veterinary Services for emergency treatment. If they are closed, we have arrangements with a near-by 24 hour emergency facility that is approximately 20 minutes away. Transportation rates will be applied.
Contract
We require all Companion Camp pet owners to sign our Companion Camp Boarding Contract before receiving services.
